Foundational skills are the building blocks children need for school readiness and lifelong learning. In a preschool setting, these skills grow best through play, routines, movement, stories, and guided exploration—not pressure. At Time Kids, our foundation-focused approach blends Playway learning, Montessori-inspired activities, Bloom’s Taxonomy, Multiple Intelligences, and Waldorf-inspired creativity.

What Are Foundational Skills?

  • Early math & thinking (number sense, patterns, logic)
  • Fine motor & pre-writing (grip strength, control, coordination)
  • Gross motor (balance, movement, body coordination)
  • Social-emotional growth (sharing, confidence, self-regulation)

How We Support Each Child’s Pace

Every child develops at a different speed. Our teachers observe each child’s interests and readiness, then guide learning through small groups and hands-on activities. We encourage independence step by step and celebrate progress in a positive way—so children gain confidence without pressure.

How Parents See Progress

We share progress through teacher observations, child portfolios (artwork, activity sheets, photos of hands-on work), and regular parent communication. Parents also receive simple home-connect ideas to continue routines and skill building at home.
